Ballotbox.ie is a voluntary effort whose purpose is to allow you participate in our emigrant’s poll prior to the 2011 Presidential Election in Ireland.

Our email address is info@ballotbox.ie. We do not have a postal address.

1. Information We Receive

Information about Yourself

When you register on Ballotbox.ie you provide us with your email address and your mobile phone number. We use this information to send you an electronic ballot paper on which you mark your preferences. You then send the marked ballot paper back to us.

Access Device and Browser Information

When you access Ballotbox.ie from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address. This information ensures that users are participating from outside Ireland and that you only vote once.

Cookie Information

We do not use cookies.

2. Disclosure

We will not disclose your information to anyone else except where required by the laws of Ireland.

3. Right of Access and Right of Rectification or Erasure.

You have a right to be given a copy of your personal data. You may submit a Subject Access Request in writing by email to us at privacy@ballotbox.ie. We will reply to you within 40 calendar days. You must provide the following details in your request: your name, your email address and your mobile phone number. You may request to have your personal data corrected, if inaccurate, or erased and we will comply immediately.

4. Security

We take our security responsibilities seriously, employing the most appropriate physical and technical measures.

5. Retention

Your information will be held by us until Monday 7th November 2011 to ensure that you do not vote more than once. All your information will be deleted on that day unless you choose to remain with us to participate in our community.
